Who are we?
About Us
SDK Bridge was founded in 2008 to fill the need for writers who could understand coding and explain APIs and SDKs to developers. We have created API documentation and code for Fortune 500 companies, start-ups, and everything in between. Our customers are from the US and all over the globe.
In 2017, SDK Bridge shifted to mobile app development, creating apps that communicate with custom hardware, provide dosage information to veterinarians, and bring choose-your-own-adventure games to life through audio.
In 2019, SDK Bridge shifted again to energy software development, focusing on technologies to make renewable energy more effective and to increase energy efficiency.
Our Mission
To accelerate the global transition to clean and efficient energy by developing innovative software solutions that empower industries, governments, and communities to harness renewable power more effectively.
Our Vision
To create a world where technology and innovation drive a fully sustainable energy future, empowering every organization to achieve maximum efficiency with minimal environmental impact.
People
Peter Gruenbaum, PhD
Peter started his career in solar energy, first with non-imaging optics to concentrate sunlight, then with high efficiency silicon solar cells, and then with high efficiency III-V solar cells. In 1997, he switched careers to software, working on early augmented reality and virtual reality technologies. He worked for several start ups, and then discovered that his ability to explain complex technical information provided opportunities to bring together his love of technology and writing as an API writer. The need for API writers was so great that he founded SDK Bridge to specialize in this area, which provided documentation to over 40 companies. In addition, he taught creative technology classes to low-income youth to inspire them to consider technology careers, obtaining grant money from the Gates Foundation, Microsoft, and others. In 2017, Peter decided to return to software development, and taught himself mobile app development, creating several apps for clients. In 2019, he decided to combine his software development skills with his original love of clean energy, and began to work in the areas of energy storage and energy efficiency. Peter received his BA in Physics from the University of Chicago and his PhD in Applied Physics from Stanford University.
